Work Study & Jobs on Campus

Student FWS Forms for 2014-15

Supervisor Forms and Hiring Procedures for 2014-15

Federal Work Study (FWS) means JOBS on campus for students. It is a form of federal financial aid. To be eligible, you must:

  • have a complete FAFSA on file at MCC
  • have an unmet financial need
  • enroll in at least six (6) credit hours (may vary for summer FWS)

To determine your eligibility for this program, go to MCC Enrollment Services and get your "FWS eligibility slip." (Click here for Student Procedures to getting a Federal Work Study job.)  You can then apply for jobs on campus.  See below for details about the current available openings. The FWS job application process at MCC is very competitive. You are applying for a real job and, as such, you should dress and act like you are applying for a job.  You should be prepared to tell the supervisors what skills you possess and relate any past job history or pertinent experience.  There are many more eligible students looking for jobs in the work-study program than there are jobs available, so make sure you look and act as professional as possible.  Remember to bring an up-to-date resume to your interview, or submit it by email if directed.   If you need assistance with job search techniques, please meet with a Career Services Advisor.
