Your career in the world of fashion begins at MCC. As a student in the Fashion Merchandising & Design program you’ll learn about textiles, clothing construction, display and visual merchandising, the fashion industry, and much more. The Apparel Merchandising track allows you to select courses that reflect a special area of interest such as business management, advertising, or buying. The Fashion Design track offers you opportunities to select courses that are in your field of study -- design, illustration, and clothing construction. An integral part of the program is an internship that provides on-the-job experience under the supervision of a professional in the retail field.

Fashion design, merchandising, and retailing are in need of well-trained executives. Educated professionals at the community college level and beyond will be the ones to fill this need. At MCC, we are committed to student education, internships, and the transfer process to four-year universities so that students can achieve their goals.

The Fashion Merchandising & Design program includes two areas of study:

  • Fashion Merchandising & Design
  • Costume Design & Production
