The roar of applause as you effortlessly glide across the stage. The bolt of exhilaration as an entire troupe moves in perfect synch under your command. The swell of pride as you watch your pupil’s first recital. This is what it means to have a career in dance.

Dance is the art of human motion. It transforms images, ideas, and feelings into movement sequences that are personally and socially significant. Dance organizes body energy within space and time, and often draws upon the power of music, literature, drama, and the visual arts. It is a natural means of communication and expression that integrates movement, feeling, and intellect.

The Dance program at MCC offers a variety of fun, exciting, and challenging classes to suit every level of dancer -- from beginner to professional. You’ll study the history of dance, gain valuable behind-the-scenes production skills, and master dance technique. Classes cover a variety of dance styles, from jazz to ballet to modern. A career in dance begins at MCC.
