This program is part of the Physical Science Department.

It all started when a 17th century British scientist, chilling in the shade of a tree, got beaned in the head by a falling apple. Thus, gravity was discovered and modern physics was born. Or so the story goes. In the last 200-plus years, physicists have gone on to discover and describe all manner of physical forces and laws; from quantum mechanics to wormholes.

The Physics program at MCC is ideal for the student who wants to fulfill general education requirements, major in physics at a four-year university, or expand knowledge of the physical sciences.
