Whether you’re volunteering on habitat restoration, participating in research on sustainable horticulture, learning to fix Electric Vehicles, or engaging in community service, you are contributing to building a resilient and connected campus. Check the MCC events schedule and see below for regular Sustainability Events offered by the Life Sciences Department, The Center for Urban Agriculture, The Center for Community and Civic Engagement, The Office of Student Life, the Sustainability Committee and student clubs.

Healthy Eating @ the Center for Urban Agriculture

Shop the campus Farmer's Markets each semester for fresh healthy food grown by MCC's farmers and students at the Center for Urban Agriculture.

And, stock up on locally grown, organic tomatoes, peppers and more in the Community Fridge in the TC-50 Building, offering new produce weekly.

Pollinator Patrol Volunteer with Life Sciences

Help maintain the Life Sciences Wildflower & Pollinator Garden

Meet at the garden gate, just east of the HW8 building and south of the Navajo room

No experience is required. Please bring a hat and plenty of water.

Greenhouse & Pollinator Garden Open House Events

Discover what’s in season, and learn how native plants support bees, beetles, butterflies, and other essential pollinators.

The Life Sciences Greenhouse and Wildflower and Pollinator garden is located just east of building HW8, along Planetarium Way.

Monarchs and More with the CCCE

Help our Monarch Waystation and native gardens thrive with the Center for Community and Civic Engagement seedball making and Monarch tagging events. 

Support the circular economy with the CCCE's Lost & Found sales and Bags2Beds events where items are kept out of landfills and repurposed for new, higher uses.
