MCC Offers Special Saturday Hours

MESA, Arizona – July 1, 2015 – When does fall semester start at Mesa Community College? Where can I go to talk to an advisor? How do I apply for financial aid?

New or continuing students can find the answers to these questions on Saturday, Aug. 22  from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at three locations in Mesa:  MCC at Southern and Dobson, MCC at Red Mountain and the Mesa Community Outreach Center in downtown Mesa.

"The special Saturday enrollment hours on Aug. 22 are designed to accommodate students who may be unable to visit an MCC campus during weekday hours," said Monica Margaillan, MCC Community Outreach Center Director. "A personal visit is an excellent way for students to receive one-on-one assistance as they enroll for fall semester. Services are available in Spanish for our Hispanic families."

All locations are equipped to handle student services in an easy, efficient manner. Students may choose from traditional, hybrid, evening or late-start classes that are available on campus or online.  MCC now offers more than 500 classes online leading to 20 different online degrees and certificates.

While educational costs have skyrocketed across the country, leaving many students burdened by huge debts, MCC fees and tuition remain remarkably low. Attending community college before completing a bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution can save students a sizable amount of money.

But there’s more to it than saving money. Studies show that MCC students who transfer to an Arizona university do as well or better than those who enroll straight out of high school. MCC instructors offer quality learning experiences, networking opportunities and, in some disciplines, undergraduate research opportunities.

Fall Semester begins Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015. MCC also offers late start and online classes. For additional information, visit http://www.mesacc.edu/fall.
