MCC's 2014 Family Fun Fair

MESA, Ariz. – The general public is invited to attend a free Family Fun Fair event on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. at Mesa Community College (MCC).

The event, put together to celebrate National Association for the Education of Young Children’s annual Week of the Young Child, is a free event for families with young children.

The fair will be hosted by Mesa Community College Education Studies Department, E.H. Warren Child Development Lab, and the MCC Campus Children’s Center in conjunction with Fun with Fathers, sponsored by the Child Crisis Center, First Things First, Scottsdale Healthcare and Fresh Start.

There will be activities, games, arts and crafts, and big vehicles for the children to explore as well as storytelling and performances for the entire family to enjoy.

“I have attended the annual Family Fun Fair at Mesa Community College as a student, volunteer and a parent. I have used resources I have gained at this event and have found them very helpful,” said Wendy Wise, an adjunct employee at MCC who teaches a Toddler and Parent Lab class. “My sons also enjoyed seeing the service vehicles up close and the interactive activities available to them. I would recommend this event to anyone in the community who has, or works with, young children.”

Community agencies and vendors will also be available at the fair.
