The Community Flute Choir will be introducing members of the flute family from the contrabass flute up to the Eb soprano flute and piccolo with Bailey's Flute Fugue #3 and Dr. Linda Bailey wi the soloist on two movements from the Telemann Suite in a minor. Desert Echoes Flute Project (DEF Project) will transform itself into a low flute choir to perform Molnar-Suhajda's "Voices from the Deep" and they'll explore some extended techniques and the use of air for "Eternal Winds" by Wil Offermans. The program also includes Sorrentino's "Fluten II", "The Four Season in Five Minutes" by Judy Nishimura, Gary Schocker's "Flutum Mysterium" and the concert closes with both flute choirs combining to play "Libertango" by Piazolla! It's going to be a fun - and windy - concert.
