Tickets available at the door, online or by phone at 480-461-7172

If you dare venture out on Friday the 13th, the flute choirs of Desert Echoes Flute Project will be playing a variety of music from traditional repertoire to slightly spooky selections. The Community Flute Choir will perform “Hedwig’s Theme” from Harry Potter, Sonny Burnette’s Scenes of England and will feature DEFproject member Jim Turner as the bassoon soloist for Gounod’s Funeral March of a Marionette. Phyllis Louke’s delightful Of Wizards and Witches was inspired by the Harry Potter films and will be performed by the DEF Sextet. DEFproject will play Flight by James-Michael Sellers, the Rachmaninoff Adagio from Symphony No. 2 in E Minor, op27, Sorrentino’s Doppia Dimensione, and Fireworks by Daniel Dorff. You may think ghosts are in the house with Avinee’s Le château hanté and Jonathan Cohen’s Danse des Mystères. The ensembles will combine to play Guidobaldi’s whirling Tarantella.
