38 Million Moments Shaping Your Epigenome: Exploring Experiences that Regulate Brain and Behavior
Presented by Dr. Candace Lewis
Dr. Candance Lewis Bio: Her research explores the complex interplay between experiences and dynamic gene expression to understand brain health across the lifespan. Specifically, we investigate how salient social experiences, such as early life adversity and chronic stress, may shape maladaptive behavior and physiology through altering epigenetics of relevant gene systems. Further, we explore how salient psychedelic experiences in adulthood may shape adaptive behavior and physiology through altering epigenetics.
