Your Instructor: Kate Mohler

Kate Mohler is an English faculty member from MCC and the president of Ability Maricopa, the district's affinity group for employees with disabilities and their allies. Kate has bipolar disorder and years of lived experience in the world of mental disabilities. She studies all aspects of mental illness, including specific disorders, the Americans with Disabilities Act, how parents obtain mental health services for their children, and how those with mental disabilities have been treated in society throughout time. She will introduce words and concepts that pertain to mental illness so that attendees are better-prepared to participate in discussions of mental illness going forward.

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities to engage fully. For additional questions, contact Gail Herndon (480-461-7578 or gail.herndon@mesacc.edu).

Stay Well MCC!
