Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout details

  MESA, AZ - Details for the fifth annual Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout are set as Mesa Community College gets set to welcome what is generally regarded as the top regular-season men's basketball tournament in the nation, beginning Dec. 27.

  A field of eight teams from across the nation will battle for the title which will be settled on Dec. 29. Four games a day will be played, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27.

  Mesa enters as the defending champion, having won its second title last year, 73-59, over Monroe (NY) which is once again in the field. The T-Birds begin play Saturday at 6:00 p.m. against Williston St.

  Salt Lake, which has won the other two championships, also returns, taking on San Bernardino Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
