Coverage of Winners of 10th Annual Avnet Tech Games

Avnet, Inc., a leading global technology distributor, announced today the 2015 winners of the Avnet Tech Games. Of the more than 200 students from universities and community colleges who competed in the games on Saturday, April 11 and in the virtual competitions, 31 students collected $1,000 scholarships. MCC student Tina Jones nominated Loretta Damon for CBS 5's Pay It Forward program and this week delivered $500 cash to Damon. It was 15 years ago this month that Pita Jungle in Chandler took a chance on jazz with the introduction of a weekly Thursday Jungle Jam. And it's still going strong.
