Earlier this year Bogner led in providing a course he developed – Develop in Swift Explorations – during a national Train-the-Trainer NC3 conference April 25 - April 29 in Tennessee with a week of follow up virtual training the following week.

NC3 Train-the-Trainer events are hands-on professional development opportunities providing standardized, world-class training to new and experienced instructors. Hosted at NC3 Regional Centers of Excellence and led by expert instructors such as Bogner, the week-long events offer intensive classroom experiences for instructors to learn and become experts in the newest certifications, allowing them to bring their transformed knowledge back to their classrooms.

“It was an honor to share my best practices with my K-12 and higher education peers,” says Bogner. “The Explorations course is designed as a stand-alone offering or the prerequisite to the more advanced Develop in Swift Fundamentals.”

Bogner completed the final phase of the training modules, the development of the Develop in Swift Fundamentals Canvas course for educators, in late June. Canvas is a course management system supporting online learning and teaching used by many universities and colleges to share information with students; the tool allows instructors to post assignments and grades for students. The Program and Canvas courses were presented to attendees at the NC3 Train–the-Trainers conference July 18 to 20 in Wisconsin.

NC3 states in a letter of appreciation to Bogner, “As an NC3 Master Instructor, you are part of a collaborative team that has a direct impact on thousands of students' lives. Sharing your story and providing supportive, hands-on instruction fosters confidence and comprehension for both educators and students as they move toward their future careers.”

Dedicated to the teaching profession, Bogner shared his CIS expertise with students in summer classes and will be teaching several Python, iOS Application Development, Pega System Architect Essentials and Level I Programming courses at MCC this fall.
