“MCC is aware of the challenges adult learners face when returning to school and we’ve established programs and support services to assist our adult learners,” said Sasan Poureetezadi, MCC Interim President. “We offer tutoring, mentoring, and on-site child care along with flexible schedules including hybrid, online and evening classes. Last spring MCC optimized its Red Mountain campus class schedule offering a 2 days, 4 days, or 1 day per week schedules, eliminating three- and five-day-per week classes, by decreasing the number of weekly visits to campus."

MCC ranked 11th in the nation based on review of available data; receiving maximum points for ease of transfer and services for adult students, and a near perfect score in flexibility of programs.

Washington Monthly's list of Best 2-year Colleges for Adult Learners included five other Maricopa Community Colleges: GateWay Community College, Rio Salado College, Phoenix College, Chandler-Gilbert Community College and Paradise Valley Community College.
