PLEASE NOTE: The Walk United Event at Mesa Community College scheduled for February 9, 2013 has been postponed due to weather. MCC plans to reschedule the event for fall. Mesa United Way will refund all registration fees. Thank you for your support and we hope you will participate in the walk this fall.
For many of our community members, the most basic needs are not being met. Many go without food, the appropriate clothing, shelter or financial resources to help them become productive citizens. Mesa Community College (MCC) recognizes this need.
In partnership with Mesa United Way, MCC will host Walk United on Saturday, February 9, 2013 to support MCC students and Mesa community members. The event will feature a 5K walk/run beginning at 9 am on the Southern and Dobson campus.
By supporting Walk United, participants will join together with other community members to support students and their neighbors in need as they learn about scholarship and charity options available.
All proceeds will go towards supporting those in need, including student scholarships and Mesa United Way. Registration costs for Walk United are:
$20 for Adult before January 15, 2013 (Early Bird Pricing)
$25 – Adult from January 15 – February 9, 2013
$10 – Students and children under the age of 16
$15 – Ghost Walker/Runner (pay for someone else to be able to walk/run)
Additional opportunities are available for those interested in sponsorships, volunteering their time or donating food to the United Food Bank.
