MESA, Arizona -- July 16, 2024 -- Mesa Community College is pleased to announce Robert Budach as the college’s Vice President of Administrative Services. Budach began serving in his new role July 1, 2024.

He oversees the college’s Business Operations, Computer Technology Services, College Police and Maintenance and Operations, providing direction, evaluation, oversight and resource management in support of the college’s mission and strategic priorities.

“I’m looking forward to working with other leaders, staff and faculty across the college,” said Budach. “Focusing on student-centric processes and outcomes are goals that we can achieve through our collaborative efforts and actions.”

Most recently, Budach was the Senior Director of Asset Management, Contracts, and Compliance at Arizona State University. Serving at ASU since 2009, he was also the university’s Director of Asset Management, Housing & Dining Finance; Associate Director of Operations; Assistant Director for Residential Services & Education; and Senior Coordinator for Training, Recruitment and Selection.

Budach’s more than two decades of experience in higher education leadership includes roles at North Central College, the University of Missouri St. Louis and Northern Illinois University. He was also a language teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program in Akita, Japan.

He earned a Master of Leadership Studies from North Central College, a Master of Business Administration from the ASU W.P. Carey School of Business with an emphasis on finance, a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and psychology from Augustana College in Illinois, and certifications as a Project Management Professional and Certified Auxiliary Services Professional.

His professional affiliations include the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), a leading association for auxiliary services professionals, and the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I), an organization for campus housing and residence life professionals.
