Work Study

Each of our production shops offer work study positions for students who qualify for Federal Work Study. If you’re interested in one of these positions, contact Financial Aid about the application process to see if you qualify.

“Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a grant that you work off and is part of your financial aid award eligibility. In order to be employed in a work-study job, you must have a FWS award.” - Mesa Community College

Scene Shop

Job Description: Assists with the construction of various scenic elements associated with the Theatre & Film Arts Mainstage productions. This may include but is not limited to Carpentry, Metalworking/Fabrication, Rigging Applications, Scene Painting and Props Construction.

Job Description: Assists with the construction of various costume elements associated with the Theatre & Film Arts Mainstage productions. This may include but is not limited to Sewing, Patterning and Draping.

Job Description: Assists with the Lighting and Sound needs of the Theatre & Film Arts department. This would include participating in the hang and focus of lighting instruments, setup of theatrical audio equipment and maintenance of various equipment.

Job Description: Assists with general operations needs of the Theatre & Film Arts department. This would include copying scripts, monitoring the script library, picking up print material, creating show-specific signage for lobby displays, photographing daily operations, and other office duties as assigned.
