Exercise Science is the study of human movement and physical activity, from the basic mechanisms of movement to the dynamics of physical activity in society as a whole.
As a student of Exercise Science, you will develop a broad understanding of the relationship among physical activity, functional capacity, and health across the lifespan. Depending upon the pathway chosen, you may also gain in-depth experience designing evidence-based strength and conditioning programs, instructing small group training sessions, applying health behavior change strategies, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. You will gain this experience through high quality learning experiences, both within and outside the classroom, that utilize state of the art equipment within the field to provide services to people of all ages and abilities.
Our pathways can also provide seamless transition to 4-year institutions for further study in the discipline and preparation for graduate school.
We are committed to your success and to building a safe and inclusive community for all. For more information about our programs and degrees, please visit the Exercise Science Certificate and Degree Program webpage.
