NAU 90/30 Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Non-performance emphasis)

Northern Arizona University offers the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Strategic Leadership as a guaranteed transfer pathway for MCC Music Business students interested in a non-performance, business-focused degree. This is a co-hort program that accepts up to 90 Community College credits. Students in this program take 30 credits in business and leadership at NAU, and can earn a Master's Degree with an additional 30 credits.

ASU Bachelor's degree in Popular Music (Performance and Production emphasis)

Arizona State University is offering the first Music Industry degree in the state with their Bachelor in Popular Music. The popular music program at Arizona State University welcomes commercial music creators including singers and songwriters, music producers, laptop performers, popular music musicians, composers, vocalists and sound designers with an interest in the modern music industry.

The ASU bachelor's degree in popular music prepares students for potential careers including:

  • popular music performance and production
  • working in a recording studio
  • teaching a private music studio
  • working in live event production
  • working as a Sound Designer
