Mesa Community College is committed to providing a personal education for each of our students, and the Care Team is a key part of this vision. When parents, faculty, or staff members are concerned about the physical, emotional, academic or personal health of a college student, the Care Team can assess the situation, offer support, and provide referrals to the breadth of resources on-campus. Explore the links on this page to learn more about the resources available through this department.

If you are a faculty member and you have a concern about a student's poor test/quiz performance, class participation, sporadic attendance, incomplete or late assignments, course comprehension or any other reason you feel is vital to success not being met please submit an Academic Warning by clicking here.

Hello! My name is Adam Soto, I am a native Arizonan and I graduated high school from Trevor G. Browne! In my free time, I enjoy learning about and exploring the Arizona outdoors to hike, camp, and fish. When not outside, I like to read, mostly non-fiction – military history and true crime. I am excited to join MCC and I look forward to meeting and working with students, faculty, and staff.

I love helping students, and have served in Student Services roles at MCC since 1985. I was in Career Services for 33 years and Academic Advisement for 5 years before joining the Care Team. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, hanging out with my two chihuahuas, and reading.

I’m a first generation college student who recently graduated with my Associate in Arts Degree . I’m fluent in Spanish, enjoy cooking, eating healthy, listening to good music, spending time with my family, and working with students. I have been here at MCC for 20 years working in many other different areas guiding, advising and helping students reach their academic goals. I am very resourceful, a great listener, very kind and easy to get along with. I have a unique balance of skills I use when helping students through any situation that may arise at any time. I look forward to meeting and helping you one day.
