About the Exhibit
Every Spring, the Annual Juried Student Art Show provides an opportunity for our art students to share the best work they have made in their classes and on their own time, whether it be a life-like portrait or a clever animation.
Mesa Community College art students have shown exceptional resilience and persistence, completing a full year of classes in an online environment. To review so many inspiring works submitted this year is a testament to the transformative power of art and the process of art-making. As our second virtual exhibition, we miss sharing the work in person with you, filling the gallery walls with color and ideas. We're grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent our students' hard work through this exhibition website. A digital space to share work is beneficial because of the potential to reach audiences beyond our Mesa Community College community.
Our three-person, all-female, superstar jury team reviewed all our entries this year. Special thanks to artists Merryn Alaka, Magda Gluszek, and Antoinette Cauley for being this year's guest jurors. The jurors analyzed skills, techniques, and creativity in student works made from a variety of mediums.
We hope you will help us celebrate and support our students by sharing your favorite works on social media using the #mesaccart and #mccartgallery.
