The Reference desk is located on the second floor of the Paul A. Elsner Library at Southern & Dobson and the Desert Willow building at Red Mountain. The Libraries at Mesa Community College provide information services for students, faculty, staff, and is open to the community for on site use of all collections and services. Reference services are available at all hours.
The Reference Collection is available for use within the library. Print materials can be photocopied for educational purposes under the Copyright Law of the United States (see Copyright Policy). Electronic subscription databases are available both on site and off campus.
Faculty librarians provide reference and research services at the Reference Desk. They are available to assist users in identifying relevant resources for their information needs. Library faculty provide guidance and assist with developing research strategies for locating resources in the library and/or community.
Electronic Reference Services
Research Assistance will lead to information that will assist with:
- The research process.
- Finding sources for specific subject areas through the use of Research Guides.
- Using formats such as MLA and APA for citing sources.
Ask A Librarian is a collaborative virtual reference service of the Maricopa County Community College District . At this site reference service is provided in an interactive mode 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. A librarian is always available online and in real time to assist students, faculty, and staff with information needs.
