Religious Accommodation Procedure (Students)
Assisting Students with Religious Accommodations (Employees)
MCC is committed to our students of faith by fostering an environment of religious inclusion where students may be welcomed and supported. We offer reflection rooms on campus where students who have religious practices may do so in solitude.
A religious accommodation in the classroom is a change in school schedule or in the way assignments are customarily completed to enable a student to participate in his/her religious practice or belief without causing undue hardship or materially altering the course.
Reflection Room Sites on Campus Include:
- Paul Elsner Library | Room 247 | Southern & Dobson
- Palo Verde | Room 212 | Red Mountain
If you are at a Mesa Community College location other than Southern & Dobson or Red Mountain and are in need of a reflection space, please contact the Title IX/504 Coordinator.
