Student Instructional Grievances

Instructional Grievance Process

This process is for a student who feels that they have been treated unfairly or unjustly by a faculty member with regard to an academic process such as grading, testing or assignments.

Step 1

According to the MCCCD Instructional Grievance Process, the student shall discuss the issue first with the faculty member involved.

Please read the S-6 Instructional Grievance Process & review your class syllabus to ensure you understand your rights and responsibilities.
Note 1: If your issue is not academic, please refer to these other Maricopa County Community College District policies: Student Rights & Responsibilities Web Page.
Note 2: If you have concerns about retaliation, please contact the Manager of Care & Conduct, Kathleen Perales at 480-461-6105.

Step 2

Before you begin, make sure you know of which department your class/instructor is a part. You can find this on the instructor's Contact page.
