Phi Theta Kappa Omicron Beta Chapter was established at Mesa Community College on April 15, 1966. A second chapter was established from 1989-1995 for evening students called Omega Upsilon. In 2001, the Red Mountain campus of Mesa Community College opened. Omicron Beta Chapter now represents all students at Mesa Community College, regardless of time or campus.
