Project Manager (ret) Command Training Center, Phoenix Fire Department
Recently retired after serving nine years as the Project Manager of the Command Training Center, Phoenix Fire Department, the first in the nation.
Previous to working for Phoenix Fire, Don successfully operated his own business for more than 10 years, CERT, Command Emergency Response Training. A tabletop diorama that taught emergency response, incident command and disaster management, "Abbottville" traveled on the average of 45 weeks and thirty-six states a year.
Don retired from Indianapolis Fire Department as an Assistant Chief of Operations, Special Operations and Training after 24 years of service. Don received Fire Engineering Magazine "Instructor of the Year" in 2006 and "Innovator of the Year" in 2004.
